Although this walk is an all-year round walk (e.g. the
track makes it straightforward for any time of the year), the views
would, - as always, be best appreciated in Summer.
However, the route is VERY starightforward and makes use of clearly
defined, and clearly waymarked, tracks.
There are no navigational problems, and little in the way of gradients
to trouble anyone.

Start from near Edmundbyers' parish church (NY06280 70979).
From the church, head downhill then turn right onto the Stanhope road.
After about 200 yards a broad track is found on your right. Follow the
track to Swandale Cottage (not inhabited). Here the track forks, - take
the right track (uphill).
This track leads to College Farm, Pedem's Oak Farm, and Belmount Farm.
Continue along the track, taking the right fork at NY966 474, until
you come to the minor road.
Here, head North for a few yards until you see another track on your
right.
THis track head East North East to return you to Edmundbyers.
