Outdoor Leisure Map No 30, - Yorkshire Dales (Northern & Central Areas)

The ascent of Buckden Pike, starting out from Buckden and returning via Starbotton and the River Wharfe.
The summit of Buckden Pike can be very wet and boggy, and in wet conditions the ground can be very difficult.
The ascent itself is quite straightforward and should present little difficulty. The descent to Starbotton can be fairly steep at times , over uneven ground.
As with any moorland walk, the walker should always carry a map and compass and know how to use them.
