        A "Figure of Eight" walk 
          centred on Hawnby.
          The first section of the walk heads out West to Dale Town Common, and 
          then returns to Hawnby.
          The second section skirts round, fisrt, Hawnby Hill and then Easterside 
          Hill.
          The walk takes in both farmland, - so can be very muddy when wet, and 
          moorland. There is about one mile of road walking.

        Start from Hawnby Church, SE5347389285.
          Cross the River Rye via the Dalicar Bridge, taking the footpath towards 
          Sunnybank Farm.
          Before Sunnybank Farm, take the Bridleway to High Buildings and Dale 
          Town Common.
          At Dale Town Common, SE513895. head North to Stoney Gill Hole. Walk 
          East down Stoney Gill Hole towards Coomb Hill. Take the footpath through 
          Nag's Head Wood round Coomb Hill, over Church Bridge, back to Hawnby 
          Church.
          From Hawnby Church, take the road to Manor Farm and then take the footpath 
          directly opposite Manor Farm North to Hill End House and Moor Gate.
          From Moor Gate take the footpath to Crow Nest Farm (some care with navigation 
          required here), then follow the footpath with the wall on your right 
          all the way to the minor road between Laskill Bridge and Hawnby.
          Follow the footpath from this point to Wass House, and then the road 
          back to Hawnby.
