Hall Square, or Market Square, in the centre of Boroughbridge. In the foreground is the War Memorial where amongst the dead for WW1 is J F White of the Green Howards who was killed in 1915 at Gallipoli. His brother was Captain Archie White, also of the Green Howards, who won the VC in September 1916.
