We had our picnic lunch on the steps of Cowesby Church. A mysterious, dark, and
hidden place. The present Church dates back to 1846, replacing a Saxon Church
which had stood on the site. Although the village of Cowesby was very neat and
tidy, the Church was curiously forbidding.
